Candy Corn Bark

I had the unoriginal idea to make candy corn bark. Seems from a quick search on the Internet this is done often when the love it or hate it October candy is aplenty. Nonetheless I gave it a go from my own pantry.
I had a couple bags of white Wilton candy melts, a bag of candy corn, some festive orange and black sprinkles and a bag of Halloween colored Oreos.
First I broke a bunch of Oreos. I smashed a handful in a bowl with a metal spatula. Blended a few in my mini food processor until they were powdery and then broke a few in fourths by hand. Tossed this all down on a large jelly roll pan lined with parchment paper. Then tossed on some CANDY CORN!
I melted the chocolate in the microwave on 50% power for a couple of minutes, stir, 30 more seconds, stir, 30 seconds, stir, 30 seconds and repeat until the candy is all melty goodness. Then pour over the cookie and candy pile.
Top with sprinkles. I wish I'd also tossed more candy corn on top. Would've been prettier and more Halloweeny.
Chill until set in fridge. Doesn't take long about 15 minutes should do the trick, depending on the thickness of your bark.
Then break apart and eat. This is darn tasty. I'm not the biggest candy corn fan but out of the fridge the texture was completely different, in a good way. I'm also not a plain Oreo fan. I like mine only in vanilla ice cream; however, I now like them in white chocolate bark. This is a very sweet treat. Several online recipes add pretzels to counter the sweet. I'm thinking I might do this again and add peanuts or my man's favorite dark chocolate covered almonds. Or wait...for Christmas I could mix white chocolate, peppermint and dark chocolate covered almonds. But I'm getting ahead of myself. I'm going to slow down and eat some more candy corn bark.

Hey, thanks! I've made the 'Christmas' version with candycanes etc, but I've never seen the 'Halloween' version - great idea! I'll be making some!
